Reservations and Payment Information
The
whole family will enjoy seeing theislands with Coastal Cruises.
for Coastal Cruises & Dive Downeast
We stay on the hook unless you book — a nautical way of saying that we schedule cruise and dive trips only when people sign up for them.
- To book a cruise on the Aaron Thomas, call Capt. Laura Fish at 207-598-6362.
- To book a dive tour, call Dive Master Harry Fish at 207-598-7473.
Weather permitting, of course!
Coastal Cruises and Dive Downeast both operate at the mercy of Mother Nature. In case of bad weather, we will reschedule your trip or refund any money you've paid, whichever you prefer. Be sure to call us on the morning of your trip so you can check on local weather conditions. Even if it's warm and sunny just a few miles away, there may be a fog mull here!
Making an advance reservation
If you know when you're going to be in our area, we strongly recommend reserving your trip ahead of time. That helps us plan ahead to make your experience more enjoyable.
You can also e-mail us if you're booking several days in advance. But if time is short, the phone is a much faster way to get in touch. Please be prepared to leave a phone number where you can be contacted.
We require a deposit of $50 to secure an advance reservation. It's best to mail us a check for this deposit, and pay the remainder by cash or check when you make the trip. Once we receive your deposit, your reservation will be confirmed by e-mail.
No advance reservation? (Probably) no problem!
We often have availability at the last minute. If you're thinking how much you'd enjoy a cruise or a dive tomorrow or even this afternoon, call us! We'll do our best to get you out on (or under) the water.
Our cancellation policy
- If you cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before the trip, we will refund your deposit.
- If you cancel within 24 hours of the trip for any reason other than bad weather, we reserve the right to keep your deposit.
- If you don't show up and haven't called to cancel, we will definitely keep your deposit. It's frustrating to be left waiting at the dock — so please be sure to let us know if your plans change!
Remember, a bad day on the water is better than a good day at the office!

Other important stuff to know
The best time to cruise
The best weather of the day is often in the morning. When scheduled, cruises usually depart at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Check the forecast before you book...
To help in choosing a day for your cruise or dive, see the Weather Forecast for Downeast Maine.
Washington
County Weather
(Jonesport)
Hancock County Weather
(Hancock Point)
...And the tide tables (if you're a diver)
We recommend checking the tide tables to choose a day for your dive when high tide is between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Because of the 10-12 ft. rise and fall of tide, recreational dives are limited to within 2 hours on either side of high water.
Please watch your step!
We comply with all Coast Guard safety regulations for a vessel of the Aaron Thomas's size. However, boarding, disembarking, and travel aboard the boat are at your own risk.
If you want to see Moose Peak Light...
The safest and easiest way to see the lighthouse is from our boat. The landing site on the island is not in good repair, and there’s a 10-minute hike to the lighthouse over a boardwalk.
Dive trips are for certified divers only
Open Water certification is required for all Dive Downeast dives. You must have a C card. Dive trips with Dive Master Harry Fish are insured through PADI.
All Dive
Downeast trips are led by a PADI-certified Dive Master.
The Aaron
Thomas is skippered by a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain and complies
with all USCG safety regulations.
